Today you will learn in this article that Bulb Ka Avishkar Kisne Kiya In earlier times when the bulb was not invented, people used lamps, torches and candles for lighting. But in this way many accidents used to happen if these things were not used properly. But ever since the invention of the bulb, people’s lives have changed. Earlier it was difficult to do some work at night, but after the invention of the bulb, today we can easily do any work in the light at night. Today we can travel at night, we can play any game like cricket, football, hockey at night. Let me tell you that the bulb is a hollow glass sphere. Which acts like a vacuum from inside. A tungsten filament is attached to this circle, when electricity is passed through this filament, it gets heated in a few moments.
This filament produces light after being heated from inside. To conduct electricity in the bulb, two wires are attached to it. Apart from this, any one of the gases Argon, Krypton, Nitrogen, Xenon and Hydrogen is filled at low pressure in making big bulbs. Krypton is the best of these gases, as it is also used to make tiny bulbs. The process of producing light due to heating is called Incandescence. That’s why such a bulb is also called incandescent bulb. These bulbs can generate light at power ranging from 1.5 V to 300 V. Apart from this, you can easily find bulbs ranging from 1 watt to thousands of watts in the market. It costs very little to make an incandescent bulb. It can easily run on both AC and DC current. But incandescent bulb electricity consumes more electricity. That’s why their use has become very less in today’s time. Today new bulbs have come in the market like CFL Bulb, LED Bulb, all these bulbs consume less electricity and give more light. Let’s know that Bulb Ka Avishkar Kisne Kiya?
Who Invented The Bulb (bulb ka avishkar kisne kiya tha)
The bulb was invented by Thomas Alva Edison on October 14, 1878. Edison was a well-known scientist of that time. He invented the carbon filament light bulb. By connecting the electric wire, the bulb used to get heated and start burning. It took him about a year and a half to make this invention And when this bulb was lit after the invention, the bulb was lit for more than 13 hours. He not only invented the bulb but also invented 1091 types of small and big devices such as gramophone, motion picture camera, carbon telephone transmitter, alkaline storage battery and many more. All these instruments have a patent book in the name of Edison.
Edison patented the world’s first light bulb. This unique invention took him about one and a half year. Many scientists had done a lot of research and experiments on this subject even before Edison. For this reason, Edison got a lot of help. While naming the patent, he got that patent named as Improvement in Electric Lights on 14 October 1878. In this research of one and a half year many metals were used like carbon, platinum were used. But with the use of platinum metal, the light of the bulb was limited to 12 hours. But the use of platinum bulb was very expensive. Then after many of his experiments, he was successful in using the metal of carbon filament.
Who invented led bulb?
The LED bulb was invented in 1962 by Nick Holonyak, an engineer working in the US company General Electric.
How many types of bulb are there?
There are many types of bulbs available in the market, but the most commonly used ones are mentioned below.
- Incandescent bulbs
- Fluorescent lamps
- Compact fluorescent lamps (CFL)
- Light emitting diode (LED)
- Halogen bulbs
History of the invention of the bulb?
The bulb was invented by Thomas Alva Edison. He started work on this invention in 1878. Even before Thomas Edison, many scientists were engaged in the search for the light bulb. The name of one of these scientists was Humphrey Davy who invented the first electric bulb in 1802. Humphrey Davy experimented with electricity to create a battery. When he connected the wire to the battery and put carbon together, the carbon started giving light, thus the first electric bulb was discovered. His invention was named Electric Arc Lamp. But the problem with this invention was that the light did not last long.
Then in 1840 British scientist Warren de La Rue placed coiled platinum filament in a vacuum tube and passed electric current through it. The purpose of this experiment was that the high melting point of platinum would keep it under control at high temperatures. So that there will be some gas molecules in the chamber which will react with platinum and the light will last longer than before. But the biggest problem with this experiment was that platinum is very expensive.
After this, in 1850, a scientist named Joseph Swan prepared an electric bulb by using Carbonized Paper Filaments in a glass bulb, but due to good vacuum and lack of electricity, it could not last long. By 1870, good vacuum pumps had come in the market, after which again Joseph Swan started his experiment. On 18 December 1878, he demonstrated the lamp prepared with the help of carbon rod at the Newcastle Chemical Society meeting, but after a few minutes it broke due to excessive electricity. After this, he made some changes in it and displayed the working lamp again in the meeting on 17 January 1879.
This experiment appeared again on 3 February 1879 during a meeting of the Literary and Philosophical Society of Newcastle upon Tyne. The resistance of the carbon rod used in this lamp was very low, due to which a large conductor was needed to transmit electricity to the lamp, so it was not suitable for general use or to be sold in the market. After this, his attention turned to the improvement of Carbon Filament, which he prepared with the help of Cotton, which was named Parchmentised Thread. He obtained the patent for this filament on 27 November 1880. Thomas Alva Edison patented it on 14 October 1878 under the name Improvement in Electric Lights in 1878. He did a lot of experiments, in the same way the world’s first bulb was prepared which could be sold in the market.
So now you must have known that Bulb Ka Avishkar Kisne Kiya who invented the bulb? The bulb was invented by Thomas Alva Edison on October 14, 1878. Edison was a well-known scientist of that time. He invented the carbon filament light bulb. By connecting the electric wire, the bulb used to get heated and start burning. Hope you have got all the information in this article.
